Fuse WinesVisit site

The FUSE team works with some of their favorite Napa Valley growers, whose cool climate hillside and warmer valley floor vineyards are planted in an array of clones, spacing and exposures. The winemaking takes the "Old World" tradition of blending Cabernet Sauvignon with other Bordeaux grapes and combines it with a "New World" twist by adding Syrah instead. Not only do they "play well together", but the result is a more interesting wine that offers a broader range of aromas and flavors.

Our winemaking team works with some of the best vineyards to produce a lush, well balanced, and fruit forward Cabernet Sauvignon. Domaine BoucabeilleVisit site

Domaine Boucabeille comprises 28 hectares (69 acres) of grape-vines planted on the schistose slopes of the Forca Real hill near Perpignan. It was born out of a hare-brained gamble: to replant vines on the very hillside where for centuries the best wines in the region originated. Wine growing was in fact abandoned during the 20th century as it was considered to be too laborious and unprofitable.

Replanting took place in the mid-1970s, in the heart of the scrubland and amidst a fauna and flora extremely hostile to young vine seedlings.

It is in this environment, patiently built on steep slopes over more than 30 years, far from any settlements and from any other activity, the Domaine produces its organically-grown grapes. All work in the vines is carried out by hand, which will always continue to be the case. I limit my input during the fermentation of the must in the vats so that the wine remains the true testimony of this terrain.

de Ladoucette

One person has influenced much of the current wine reputation of France’s Loire Valley: Patrick de Ladoucette. Having taken over his family’s wine operations in 1972 at the young age of twenty, Baron de Ladoucette’s energy and vision have helped to elevate the quality and prestige of Pouilly-Fumé, Sancerre and Vouvray, worldwide.

The company owns over 200 acres of prime vineyards in these appellations and, in addition, contracts fruit from growers that meet the Baron’s strict criterions. This combination helps de Ladoucette meet the great demand for his wines, and makes him one of the most influential winemakers in the Loire Valley.
The Baron’s distinctive portfolio is based on the de Ladoucette winemaking style that focuses on presenting the essence of the grape variety and the vineyard. The ultimate goal, according to Baron Patrick de Ladoucette, "is to produce the finest wines that truly reflect the unique terroir of these regions".
